Wow 2009 already. Where's my rocket pack or my flying car? To think back to when I was a kid and thinking ahead some 30 years into the future I would have never envisioned it to be as awesome as it has been.
2008 was an exciting and emotional year, we look forward to what lies ahead for 2009. We are so thankful for the many joys and tears of 2008, each year passes by faster and faster each year, and it reminds us of how precious each moment is that we have together. We hold dear all our family and friends and hope everyone has a very safe and Happy New Year.
If we don't see ya'll over the next few days, then we'll see ya'll next year.
Love,
Todd, Lisa, Kyler, and Shaun
P.S. We'll work on getting some Christmas pics posted over the next week, so stay tuned.

Army of Dorkness....

Yes, I'll be the first to admit I'm a huge Bruce Campbell fan, and I make no apologies for being a dork if that makes me so. I used to think I would have to be a closet "Army of Darkness" fan, but that is no more. Last night Lisa sat down with me and we watched the Boom Stick edition of "Army of Darkness", and believe it or not my wonderful wife sat thru it to the end....and even laughed along with me. I think I'm starting to pull her over to the Dork Side. :)
Thank you Lisa for sharing my interests with me, and I enjoyed getting to sit down and watch Bruce Campbell, a.k.a Ash, kick a little deadite butt with ya. All I can say, in pure Bruce Campbell fashion is...."Give me some sugar baby."

Mission Impossible...
Well I have had a few interesting events this past week. First I went into the garage to clean my car out. I shut the door that goes into the house from the garage so the boys would stay in were it was warm. I could hear Kyler talking and when I went to open the door for something I found he had locked the door. Well I had no phone, no house keys and no idea how to get in. I tried to talk Kyler through unlocking the door and that wasn't working. I couldn't take the door off the hinges since they were on the opposite side. The only thing that I could think of was to kick the door in. So that's what I did. I told the boys to get back and I proceeded to break in. At first I thought that I would just throw my body against the door. Like you see people do on t.v. Well that doesn't work. I just stood back and kicked the door. I kicked by the doorknob and after about three kicks it busted open. I never thought that I would need to kick a door in. Todd replaced the door and made sure a key was in the garage just in case it happened again.
Well a few days later I was cooking a recipe that called for wine. I forgot that wine is sealed with a cork. Well of course we don't have a cork screw. We used to have a Swiss army knife that had one but who knows where that thing is. So I got the cork off with a screw, pliers and a hammer.
Its amazing how creative you get when you need to. I actually felt like MacGyver finding little things to use to get the job done.
