The Trip, the Speech, the Whale...

Well this will be short, but I just wanted to let everyone know we had a great trip to San Antonio. The speech went well, lots of positive feedback and lots of Q&A afterwards in the lobby by folks that caught up with me afterwards. The boys did great, they were such troopers for those crazy hot days and late nights.

They had a wonderful time at Sea World, got to see Shamu and Friends two days in a row, and on the second day got to go and feed the dolphins and see the sharks and other cool fish. They did awesome in the car there and back.

Thank you to Mrs. Pederson for putting us up last Wednesday night on our way down. That really made the trip a lot easier on Thursday. Thank you so much and we look forward to getting your way again were we can spend a little more time with ya versus just running thru.

Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers as we treked across this great state of ours. San Antonio is such a great place, not too big that you feel lost in it, and not too small that there's not plenty to do. We look forward to making that trek again in another 3 to 4 years when the boys get a little bit older. It was great just being together as a family and being able to do things together.

As we move along thru the week(s) ahead we'll start getting some pics up. No Promises, but we'll try.

Happy 4th of July everyone....

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend, as you can see above we sure did. It was nice to have 3 days home with my family. The big trip is coming up this week and I'm a little nervous about my speech, should be about 100 people there, so not too big of a crowd. Wish me luck.

Take me out to the ball game....

What a night for a ball game. Unfortunately the Pumpjacks lost, but it sure was a great night together as a family. Lisa, the boys, and I had a wonderful time out at historic Driller Park. The boys made it thru all 9 innings, and we all got to see a great fireworks display at the end. We were right behind home plate, and I mean right behind. There for a while I thought maybe we were going to be the umpires for the night. :) Maybe should have been, some of those calls were a bit questionable, but hey I'm not in the same spot as that ump.

Anywho, I digress....the boys did great. Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Nachos (w/ Jalapeno's of course), cold soda pops, plenty of music and fun. The boys got new ball caps as you can see above.

Such a great time. I definitely understand why baseball is as Amercian as Apple Pie, such great times with fellow fans and family. Wow....such a great night. Pictures to come....stay tuned.

The Royal Flush...

Kyler is really taking to potty training. During the day he has been wearing big boy underwear since Sunday morning, and is now going to the potty to take care of business on his own when he feels the need (both #1 and #2).

We are so proud of you Kyler, you are such a big boy. Keep up the good work little man.

Love,

Mommy and Daddy

Play Ball.....

The Boys got to go to their first Baseball Game on Friday night. It was the Kilgore Pumpjacks vs. the Coppell Copperheads. They really enjoyed it, we stayed thru the top of the 6th and they were ready to go home.

It was a sort of boys night out, John Weis scored us some tickets from the bank (Citizens Bank night out at the Ballpark), and his brother James met up with us. They boys just love them to death and had a great time with them. Thank you John for the tickets and thanks to James for being so great with the boys....I know you were worn out from the day, but you sure kept them entertained.

Lisa and I are taking them back to another game next Friday, we'll make sure to get some pictures posted from that one.

Go Pumpjacks...so far they are still in first place in the collegiate teams, hopefully they can stay that way.
