We're there......
Well it's been a long hard trek but we are finally in our new home. There were a lot of 11th hour issues with the closings, so those ran late, but as of Tuesday at 5pm we were officially owners of our new home. Well the mishaps didn't take a back seat for us at all. Our first night there we didn't have water, I had to get up early Wednesday and go pay our deposit, only to find out they hadn't locked the valve, so the gal behind the counter simply stated, "We didn't lock the valve, so you can turn it on yourself", good thing I bought that water meter valve rod a few months back.
Also, upon our first night there, between 4am and 6am our dog Cheyenne decided this was not the place for her, dug out and is gone. We'll miss you Cheyenne, hope you find a safe new home somewhere, or if you get bored just come on back we'll leave a light on for ya.
Well if that was the only problem we had Wednesday that would be fine, but unfortunately it wasn't. The fridge doors where too big to fit thru the door ways into the house so we had to hunt down a 5/16 hex socket (which is the only socket I didn't have until now) and finally got it in. Well then we find out that the water connector at the wall is too big, so it's off to town to find a fix. We found a fix, got that installed, started unpacking, and low and behold around 5pm the hot water heater release valve popped and flooded the bathroom and part of the hall.
We finally got a plumber out there around 7:30pm and they determined the issue was too much water pressure. They read with the meter open 210psi, the hot water heater can handle up to 150psi, thus the problem. They are going to have to install a pressure regulator on the line so we can have equal pressure to the house for the other water lines. So to say the least our first full day in the house was eventful.
Well to put a silver lining on things, Lisa and the Boys just absolutely love it out there, and love the house, so that makes all this nickel and diming worth it to have them a home they can be proud of and enjoy.
Ya'll come and see us anytime, or give us a shout. Here is our info:

Happy Birthday Sharyn!!!!!!
Happy Birthday Sharyn. We hope your Birthday is filled with as many blessings as you have brought into our lives by just being a part of our family. We are so thankful to have you as our boys Aunt, our Sister-in-law, and such a great friend. May God bless you on your special day.
Let the countdown begin....
Well this is looking to be our last weekend in our current home, and we're getting ready to move into our new home hopefully next weekend. It's sort of a sad goodbye, considering we've had so many happy years in the home and it's been the first home for our 2 kiddo's. But this is nothing more than a house, and a home is where ever we are together, so in a way the sadness may be felt for the memories, but the excitement for all the other memories to come is much more thrilling.
Please lift us up in your prayers as we head towards our closing dates and our new home.

Cartwright's cometh....
Well the Cartrwright's should be arriving shortly from Arkansas to take up residents here in Longview. Have trailer will travel, and that's just what they are doing. My Mom and step-dad have a 35 foot travel trailer that they call home, and they are moving it to Camp Cole just off of Gum Springs Road, sort of SE of Longview.
We are so glad to have Meme and Poppy here in East Texas with us. Prior there was a 5 1/2 hour divide between us, now even with us moving it'll only be minutes. Welcome back to Texas mom.
