Swimming,Swimming....
Kyler started his swimming classes this week. He is really doing good and his instructors are just awesome! He has jumped off the diving board 4 or 5 times. His instructor catches him but we are proud of him for having the courage to do that! We will post pics soon!

....and that's a wrap.
Well T-Ball has officially come to an end for this season. We've had our last game, and boy was it an awesome one. The kid's were firing on all cylinders, and worked together really well to finish off the season on a high note. We had our end of season party on Saturday, a time to let the kids all get together off the field, play together, and a chance to grill some hot dogs and hamburgers.
Tonight is the T-Ball closing ceremony, the teams will be introduced, the kids get a chance to run the bases and receive their participation trophies.
Now we get the summer off from sports and start Soccer for Kyler in the Fall and then both will be playing T-ball come next spring. Kyler will be in a different league next year, so we'll be having games on both sides of town which will be fun to keep up with, but come 2012 both boys will be in the KBBA association and will stay with that league up thru Little League.
I hope they continue enjoying playing sports, cause I really enjoy watching them play and learn to work as a team with other folks.

....and then there was one.

Well it's been a fun ride, but like all things it has to come to an end. Tomorrow night, Thursday, May 13, 2010 is the last T-Ball game for this season. It's been a very rocky season, with the main coach flaking out, and me taking over the position of head coach, and trying to get the parents motivated to get their kids to practices (don't get me started on that).
All in all it has been a lot of fun. The kids that have been showing up for Practice have been playing hard and doing well, those that haven't, well let's just say it shows come game time. I've been so proud of Kyler thru all this, he's probably the fastest runner on his team, he hits hard, fields the balls good; there's not much this kid won't try and hasn't accomplished with flying colors. I know I may be a bit biased, but man oh man he sure gives it 110% when he's out there, and that makes me so proud as a father and as a coach.
I'll be sad to see it all come to an end, but I'll be glad to move on to the next sport and look forward to next season when Shaun can play. This fall Kyler is really excited about the opportunity to play Soccer, and next year Shaun will get his chance at T-Ball. I probably won't volunteer to coach again, but I'll sure support them in which ever way the team needs me to, and you can bet your sweet petunia my kids will be at Practice.

T-Ball Game 1
We had so much fun at the first game! Kyler is excited for the next one!
He did really well hitting and running to the bases. He didn't get many oppurtunities to catch the ball but I'm sure he will soon.
Kyler in his uniform. Aint he cute!!!
Kyler in the dugout.
Daddy giving him some advice. Todd got to help out on third base.
Maybe tonight I will get better pictures of him hitting. Stay tuned for more pictures to come!
